Gecko Saccomanno. founder and producer
Gecko Saccomanno, [aka ME!!!] is a downtown artstar, and has been involved in the performance scene for many years, expressing her art in a myriad of ways, and, a myriad of venues... She has performed from Woodstock 94 to Lollapalooza, Hammerstien Ballroom to Roseland Ballroom, the Guggenheim to PS 1, PS 122 to Westbeth Theater , Pseudo to We Live In Public, Exit Art Gallery to Here Gallery, and many many many venues, galleries, parties, and museums inbetween, and some on the far side of the globe. She does large-scale installations, performance installations, meta media works, site specific performances, sculptural art collages, musical ensembles, theater, and staged events,. She is a highly productive artist. Gecko has currently been a member of the collective: unconscious, a not for profit 501-c3 arts organization based on Ludlow St. [www.weird.org] for 8 years, where she is a creative director as well as one of the members. She produces and performs her own works - all with an eye on technology. She has always been involved with food, having watched her parents throw dinner parties for 200+ on the fly, and the weekly family dinners of 40 or so... [ Italian?- yes!!] She has attend the institute for culinary education and hold a doble degree in culinary arts and culinary management. Currently she works with dega catering- feeding rockstars and VIPs at various venues through out the city and the tri stae area, such as the rolling stones, neil young, robert plant, bin jovi and many many more!!! She has been an ambient specialist and events planner for many many years as well. As well as being a performance installation artist.

her talents into one creative venture and feed the people. THe understanding
that she took away from her youth was food=love. And to gecko, indeed it does.

"New York/Chicago performance artist Katherine Chronis made an impact on the Austin scene last summer. After performing with Mangina at the VORTEX, and while an artist-in residence at The 401 Project, Katherine journeyed down Congress Avenue in the buff. Her exploits were documented in The Austin Chronicle and on video tape. You won’t want to miss the headstand."

Prince Co-produced Chicks Cook with Gecko from 11/00-9/01 & continues to
be a guest chef to this day.
Eve is primarily self taught when it comes to her artistic endeavors which
range from cooking, sculpting, photographic manipulations, make-up artistry,
theatrical costuming as well as a wide range of environmental installations
performances and staged events. She created her own performance troupe in
1995 entitled "Naraeda: a mythological soap opera" which she produced,
directed, managed, stylized, costumed and scripted.Eve has had her works at
such venues as The Hammerstein Ballroom, HereGallery, PS122 & Lollapalooza
to name a few, and was highlighted on NBC
Morning News for her make-up.
The idea
of pushing the envelope, yet making it so enticing that people not
only can watch but can not turn away, is enticing to Eve.Eve received her MPS
from Pratt Institute in Art Therapy and Creativity
Development, and spent 10 years working in the mental health field. In
thattime she created a pilot program which taught people living withSchizophrenia
how to cook.Eve has also been the director of make-up with Earth Celebrations,
a
non-profit agency working to save the lower east side and east Village
garden's, since 1991.
Currently
Eve is focusing on bringing her multi-faceted creative arena to a
